Hitting it the right way-The Guerrilla Guide to Interviewing

Have been wondering for years , how this business goes , and why there always feels a gap in the recruitment process and technical interviews. Nice to know that it was just not me to notice this , where as some of the impressive techs and Entrepreneurs even experience the same issues .  Thanks to Joel, for this great article which gives clear picture of the expected ways and focuses on the discrepancy in the process , how it is done & how it is supposed to be.

The interviewers often hide them selves par the other side of the table , which may be perceived anyway at your judgement , but is definitely not good for a comfortable environment for the candidate present at the moment in the place to try out his (potential and luck of course), and can be demotivating at times, specially with freshers.

Second important point here is , that in the current scenario of IT , aptitude and willingness to learn new things is much more important than a strong skill set on few things.

  1. I agree when you said that “in the current scenario of IT, aptitude and willingness to learn new things is much more important than a strong skill set on few things.” People should point/voice that out during an interview. Some interviewers are very particular on that one especially when it comes to IT jobs that continuously evolve.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah , i always support this in candidates, and try to bring out their natural abilities during the interview.
Its should be the concern of the interviewer too, to encourage the candidates to voice their abilities beyond their IT skills.
